Paris is known for its many world famous museums and when you are in Paris you should not leave this City of Light without visiting any. Many great artists are from France and many others have made Paris their home. There are many other museums in Paris worth visiting but for now here are three must see museums you must check out when in Paris and even if you are not much of an art person a visit to these famous museums will surely be an experience you will remember and enjoy.

Le Louvre

Le Louvre Museum must be the most famous museum in Paris and in the world almost all tourists of this beautiful city take time out to visit this popular museum. This museum houses 6000 paintings and many masterpieces. Three world famous works that you must take a look at are Venus de Milo, Winged Victory of Samothrace, and the Mona Lisa of Leonardo da Vinci. Cost of museum ticket is at 9 Euros.

Orsay Museum

Another museum every tourist should visit in Paris is the Orsay Museum which houses a great collection of impressionists paintings. The Orsay Museum used to be a large train station before it was converted into a museum, see the works of great artists such as Monet, Manet, Renoir, Cezanne and Van Gogh. Sculptures of Rodin, Bourdelle, Pompon, and Caludel can also be seen in this beautiful museum. Cost of museum ticket is at 7.5 Euros. Closed on Mondays.

Rodin Museum

The Rodin Museum in Paris is really a must-see, it features more than six thousand six hundred sculptures. The impressive works of Auguste Rodin are featured in this wonderful museum named after him. Although Auguste Rodin is most famous for his sculptures his paintings and sketches are also on display in the museum. The Rodin Museum also features the works of Camille Claudel, Rodin’s mistress and also a great artist. If you visit this museum in summer or spring, explore the gardens and have some coffee in the open air café and whatever you do, do not leave without taking a look at one of Rodin’s most famous sculpture The Thinker. Cost of museum ticket is between 6 to 9 Euros. Closed on Mondays.
